On 28 August 2024, the enrolment of first-year cadets was conducted by 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC Solan at Government Degree College Dharamshala, with 32 new cadets selected based on various fitness tests.

About Government College (GC), Dharamshala
Government College Dharamshala was founded in 1926. It is the district's first college offering undergraduate and graduate-level arts and scientific programmes. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has given the college an accreditation grade of "A." (NAAC). The institute may be found in the Himachal Pradesh district of Dharamshala, in Kangra. The institute is spread over 49,000+ sqm of land.
GC Dharamshala faculty includes 83 teaching members and 43 non-teaching faculty members who have years of expertise offering top-notch education. GC Dharamshala college library has more than 5.69 lakh books for students, as well as language books, magazines, and newspapers. It is entirely computerised. There are 3 GC Dharamshala hostels.
